LOCAL GOVERNMENT ELECTIONS

The next quadrennial Local Government Elections will be held on:

SATURDAY 27 MARCH, 2004

LIST OF CANDIDATES

Dalby Town Council has a Mayor and eight local Councillors who each serve a four-year term. There are no wards or divisions.

Returning Officer for these elections is Mr Jeff Brown. Jeff can be contacted by telephoning 4660 6125 or alternatively 0419 731 210.

Only voters registered with the Commonwealth/State Joint Electoral Roll by the 31 January 2004 will be entitled to vote in the elections.

Are you correctly enrolled?
Voting is compulsory and the only way to ensure you have your say in this election is to be correctly enrolled. A quick check now will guarantee your say in your Local Council. Contact the Australian Electoral Commission on 13 23 26 (free call) or the Electoral Commission of Queensland on 3227 6444.

Type of Voting Available:

  • Postal Vote - From 1 March 2004
  • Declaration (Pre-poll) Vote - From 15 March 2004. This will be conducted at Dalby Town Council's Cultural and Administration Centre located at 107 Drayton Street, Dalby
  • Visitor Voting - From 15 March 2004
  • Polling Day - 27 March 2004 at Senior Citizens Centre located at the corner of Condamine and Roche Streets, Dalby

Please Note: There is no absentee voting available.
