Parking is regulated in the Central Business District. Signage indicates the limits of the regulated parking area and also the restrictions that apply. Parking meters are in service in the Central Business District operating from 9.00 a.m. to 5.00 p.m. Monday to Friday and from 9.00 a.m. to 11.30 a.m. on Saturday.

A disabled parking permit must be prominently displayed when parking in a disabled zone or parking space. Parking in a disabled zone without a permit will incur a parking fine. Disabled parking permit applications are processed by the Queensland Department of Transport. A disabled parker correctly displaying a disabled parking permit is permitted to park in any regulated parking bay without payment of parking fees.
