Council provides many recreational facilities in the town including the Regional Art Gallery, Cinema and 50m swimming pool. Myall Creek provides residents and tourists with a picturesque place to relax, have lunch or take a walk. The walkway has a number of heritage signs that provide a detailed history of the creek and surrounding places of historical significance.

For the more active, the Diplock Park skate facility provides a venue for skateboarding, roller blading and BMX bike riding. Diplock Park is located on the corner of Nicholson and Drayton Streets. All users of the facility should familiarise themselves with conditions of use displayed on the sign at the park.
