RECYCLING

Council operates a domestic refuse recycling service, consisting of a split 240 litre wheelie bin. The front section of the bin is for general rubbish and the rear section of the bin is for recyclable items, including glass bottles, aluminium and steel cans, plastic soft drink (PET) and milk cartons (HDPE).

Residents should take care not to contaminate the recyclable material with any general rubbish, such as plastic bags, china and porcelain, paper and other non-recyclable materials.

The Dalby Landfill is situated on Jandowae Road and is open to Dalby residents and businesses seven days a week. The hours of operation are from 7.00 a.m. to 5.45 p.m. Council requests that users of this facility do so in a safe manner. All persons using the landfill must wear fully enclosed shoes and limit their speed to twenty kilometres per hour at the site.

For enquiries about garbage collection, the landfill and what and what not to recycle, call Council's Community Services Department on 4672 1151.
