Dalby is the centre of the Western Downs region, manufacturing a vast range of farm machinery, parts and earth moving equipment that is distributed to all parts of Australia as well as exported to many overseas countries. It also boasts the largest one day cattle selling complex in Australia.

Dalby is blessed with an ideal climate and average rainfall of 26 inches. The terrain is very flat with the beautiful Bunya Mountains to the north and the fascinating Lake Broadwater to the south.

Residents enjoy a comfortable lifestyle with most amenities without the hustle and bustle of the cities, and is a comfortable two-and-a-half hour drive to Brisbane, or three hours to the premier Australian Resorts of the Gold and Sunshine Coasts.

Dalby has proven to be a great place to raise a family with excellent educational facilities and the well respected Dalby Agricultural College situated on the edge of our town.

The Dalby Town Council encourages tourism and development at every opportunity, with several industrial estates available for business development and with land and housing very affordable.
