ENERGY SAVING TIPS Hot Water
1. Adjust Temperature setting on your hot water thermostat, Hot-Winter; Warm-Summer
2. Have a shower restrictor fitted to your shower to give a flow of eight to ten litres per minute. (Remember: the longer you stay in the shower the more water you use and the more water you use the more you have to reheat.)
Heating
1. Close the doors to all the rooms you are not using, only heat the areas you are using Lounge, Kitchen, Family Room, Dining Room.
2. Do not run a room heater all night unless it is fitted with an oxygen depletion sensor.
3. Turn heaters off just before you retire for the night and open the doors to bedrooms; the heat should then warm these rooms.
4. Do not use room heaters as a clothes dryer.
5. Regularly clean areas around fans and filters where they are fitted to heaters.
