ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION

All individuals, businesses and industries have a duty of care to the environment by not harming it in any way.

Council can issue on the spot fines for offences under the Environmental Protection Act for littering, depositing into the environment paint, varnish or thinners, degreasers, oils, petroleum products, herbicides, pesticides or fungicide, silt, mud or sand, cement or concrete, or a range of manufactured products which can harm the environment.

Council also licenses certain businesses in Dalby as environmentally relevant activities under the Environmental Protection Act. This licensing is to ensure that businesses are doing the right thing when it comes to the environment. Contact Council's Community Services Department on 4672 1151 for further details.
