FOOTPATHS


Where Council has provided kerb and channel, Council encourages the owner/occupier to mow the footpath from the property alignment to the kerb. Where kerb and channel has not been provided, the owner/occupier is encouraged to mow the footpath and water-table from the property alignment to the pavement edge.

Council will mow all areas in accordance with a zonal mowing programme with priority being given to areas with earth water-tables only.

Footpath Trees
The planting of footpath trees is permitted subject to the criteria prescribed in Section 16(2) Part 6 of the Local Law – Roads.

Footpath Gardens
Property owners may establish gardens on the footpath in front of their property in accordance with the criteria prescribed in Section 16(2) Part 5 of the Local Law – Roads.
