All landowners have a responsibility to ensure that their land is kept free from long grass and other overgrown vegetation that could harbour vermin or may be a fire risk.
If an allotment is found to be overgrown and the landowner takes no action to clear the vegetation, Council may carry out the works and charge or take legal action against the landowner.
